Cleric enjoins thanksgiving, charity to less-privileged
A cleric, Senior Apostle Leon Okosi, has urged Nigerians to give to the poor and show gratitude to God so as to continue to attract God’s blessings.
Speaking at the Adoption Thanksgiving Service of the Morning Star Church on Sunday in Lagos, Okosi urged Nigerians to appreciate God in times of difficulties.
“The word of God says it is better to give than to receive, the hands of the giver are always on top.
“There are greater blessings in giving thanks, anybody who give, irrespective of religion, there will always be greater reward from God to the person.
“The more you give to the widows, the motherless, fatherless and less-privileged, among others, the more blessings you receive.
“In giving thanks to God, we are making our requests known to Him and we are creating ways for more blessings.
“In doing this, God will surely come to the aid of His people and the country as well,” the cleric said.
He urged Nigerians to continue to give thanks to God and remain steadfast in prayers for peace and unity of the country.
Okosi also urged Nigerians to love one another and not be discouraged in faith but believe that God could handle every problem.
